What’s with the clickbait title?

I love my 512 LCD. I have a beast of a PC, so I use my deck mainly on the couch or bed. I don’t use a dock. Sure the deck can run games like Elden Ring and Hogwarts Legacy, but I prefer to play those on my crisp 1440p monitor on my PC.

I mainly use my deck to play my backlog of older/indie games. For example, Life is Strange, Mad Max, the Lego series (Lego Batman, Lego Star Wars, etc) Shadow of Mordor, etc. You can also easily emulate games on it too, like Pokémon or Mario.

Any version you get is great, just make sure to pick up a nice Micro SD card.

Mad Max runs great on the SteamDeck. Goes on sale for really cheap too. Currently playing Stardew Valley on the deck. Pure bliss.
