There virtually is no letterboxing, because you can’t see them, thanks to how OLED technology works. A black pixel is an off pixel, so the black bars become invisible on an OLED model while that’s not the case with LCD models. /CaptainObvious
Just thought that maybe reviewers should mention that, but for some reason they hadn’t, and I’ve seen a lot of reviews.
Is there anything you can think of that reviewers hadn’t concerning the OLED models?

That’s because they all referred to the ‘smaller bezel’ which is what that’s called. That’s… That’s just not ‘letter boxing’, you’re just calling it the wrong thing.
I’m talking about the two 40x1280 bars of black pixels above and below.
Desktop mode does not support HDR
you can’t watch HDR video from local storage, or Youtube.
Do you know if using Kodi in Gaming mode works for HDR content?
I use Kodi in gaming mode all the time for playing media. I don’t have an OLED though; so I can’t test.
I’m not sure what that is
Kodi is a media player that supports a plethora of plug-ins for various things.
Just have a browser for YouTube, and the file explorer available in game mode, then open your files in MPV
Does that work? I figured it was more of a “Linux software not updated to allow HDR” kind of problem.
I haven’t seen the ghosting test comparison yet
