Just curious as to how you guys use your steam deck, docked or not. Do you have a gaming pc or consoles and only use it when you’re out?
I personally just use it inside the house, and sometimes at work. I’m jealous of people that are able to take it out and play in the park or somewhere like that, my OCD scares me into doing so, I always think that I might drop it or it might rain. Funny cos all I have are handhelds (switch, 2dsxl and steam deck) and I rarely go out with them.
I also have it plugged in almost all the time whenever I decide to play, is that bad for the battery or do you guys do it too since when I play it usually just lasts less than 2 hours and can’t be bothered to get up and charge.

Sorry I’m bored at work and I read the rules on the side and I don’t think this “let’s start a conversation” post is not allowed. Thanks!

At home, always. Can use it at work, but choose not to since I can’t really get into a game when I have other shit to concentrate on.

Usually play on the couch or in bed. Sometimes docked, depends on the game.

I have other consoles (Series X, Switch, did have a PS5, plan to get a slim model) and a PC (3080Ti/i7 12700).

I have a very straightforward way of playing each system. If a game I want to play is exclusive to a console, I play it on that console. If it has a PC port, I buy it on Steam. If it’s online multiplayer, I play it on my PC or on PlayStation with my friends that have a PS5.

As long as the performance is good enough for the type of game it is, I generally play more on my deck than PC due to convenience. That could be 20-30FPS, solid 30, 40, solid 60, or an unlocked 40-60fps. Just depends on the type of game for me.
