I know technically the OLED has the same performance but often times i was limited by either Battery life or fan noise when dialing in my game settings on my LCD Deck.

Of course we all know the new battery is much bigger so even when pushing the hardware to its limit it has still 2h+ Battery. So this is not an issue for me anymore. HURRAY!

But what i was not prepared for is that its also a lot quieter. I guess thats due to the new, more efficient, CPU. And yes i had the same fan curve active on both Decks. I started playing AC Blackflag on my LCD with “normal” settings because the full blasting fan was just too loud for me on high settings. I now continued to play the game on my new deck and could pump the settings up to “high” with not noticeable difference in noise.

Also same TDP with a smaller node means it should be able to hold higher clocks on the CPU with the GPU pegged at 1600mhz. Small difference but it could be the difference between smooth and some hitches. I think combining that with the faster RAM adds up to a small but measurable performance uplift.
