I wanted to make my steamdeck my official laptop as I use it more than my actual laptop. I will then gift it to my sister because the steamdeck will be enough.
I can’t decide if I should do a new Windows install and bring important data over or clone my entire laptop to my samsung T7 ssd.
What do you guys think would be better? I wanted to hear different an outside opinion. Originally, I wanted to dual boot with windows at first but changed my mind. Booting from an ssd I think, will be better.
The only problem I see with cloning my drive is that I have a 1 TB ssd.
Omg do it fresh, never ever just move a boot drive to another machine unless it’s nearly identical hardware, otherwise Windows is gonna throw an absolute fit, and even after you fix everything, it’ll always feel “dirty”, trust me.
