What do the reviews tell?the only thing I’m always concerned about is build quality(avoid Msi) and if it has decent build quality then I won’t cancel it.and about battery, this is a gaming laptop as you know so you shouldn’t worry abt it.you don’t care abt the mpg in a lambo

According to a review by LTT at CES they finally managed to improve the build quality. However, I never see a MSI in the wild.

The only problem with ACER Laptops are their bad customer service. From the post it seems like you are from Kolkata and the Service centre here is not good. My friend had to wait a week first to get a call from the service centre on what the issue was with the laptop and then took around a month to fix it (Yes I know it can be a one off issue).

Apart from that ACER Laptops are just fine.

Don’t worry, what i noticed was that if you look hard enough, you will always find some bad reviews about them. It happens to every product and most people who are satisfied with the product dont even post reviews

Ive never had issues with MSI, sure their abs plastic is too fragile or thin and sometimes hinges get stuck. Ive had many msi laptops over the years and never had any of the issues.

YMMV depending on how and where you use it, but I’ve had horrible hinge problems with mine where the studs broke on both sides, the battery needs to be replaced within 2 years, the charging cable broke; it’s super cheap and thin so now it won’t charge unless it’s in a specific position- have to buy another one of those. Oh, and the after sales service is bad and expensive; I was told that the hinge repair would cost me INR 4500 PER HINGE. That’s 9000 rupees for a cheap laptop that cost me 27k. Everything about my laptop has been problematic; I’m never buying Acer again.

Naah i have the same laptop and those reviews are misleading (but speakers are average)

    Pros

This laptop has better cooling than some laptops and

peak brightness of 300nits( there is an option in setting to get that level)

Reviewers don’t spend much time on this laptop so they don’t know much about its setting

When playing cyberpunk it’s temp rarely goes above 78°c (70°c on cpu and 68°c on gpu average temp)

you can get a battery life of 7hours browsing 4hours of youtube but after Doing some tweaking, i am getting 10-9hours on browsing and 6hours of youtube ( my idle discharge rate was 3.6watt and idle cpu power was 0.7watt) rtx 3050 perform similar to 75watt version) it has better SSD speeds than Asus vivobook laptop at same price.

Its processor is more powerful than apple m1.

The display’s colour is the same as any laptop its price point

    Cons are

Average Speaker(but most people use headphones nowadays)

And build quality is the same as any other laptop top lid metal And a metal body is not good for gaming laptops because they get hot easily

why worry, just extent warranty for extra 3 years and enjoy laptop tension free for 4 years , like im enjoying my dell Inspiron ( 2.5 years old, harddisk failed within 6 months ,since then working fine ,still in warranty )

I have been using the acer aspire 7 for the last 3 years(The 9 gen variant). what exactly did u hear is wrong with its build quality, the only thing i noticed was some hinge problems which got repaired for free.

I was quoted INR 4500 for the repair for my Ryzen Aspire 3. In warranty, even though it’s a common problem. I’m avoiding Acer like the plague from now because I’ve had to replace the hinge on both sides, and the after sales service is garbage and expensive.

Idk, maybe it depends on the service centre. For me, they were very helping and taught me how to do some basic cleaning/repasting, tbh i was very surprised with this and will def go for a acer laptop again

PS: There are definitely some hinge problems but I just don’t close the lid anymore
