I will be visiting Europe and figured I might as well order a steam deck to my hotel in the Netherlands. However, I will only be staying there from december 3rd to the 5th (I leave at 00:00 of the 6th). Acording to the estimated arrival, it should arrive in time, but is that prediction from Valve reliable at all? And if it does not ship in time, am I fucked?

well it can always be delayed but you could potentially have it shipped earlier to the hotel and inform them you have a parcel coming and ask them to hold it for you until you arrive.

Mine was delivers a day early. Was supposed to arrive Saturday and ended up coming on Friday via UPS.

Black Friday and Cyber Monday may impact delivery times.

I wouldn’t trust it at the moment, no. It may improve as they get away from the launch rush and Black Friday, but on the other hand we’ve got Christmas coming up so it could even get worse.

I ordered mine on launch day while it still said 3-5 business days, and it took 7 (11 days total). And some people still seemed to be stuck waiting for theirs to dispatch when I got mine. So expect it to take at least a few days longer than estimated.

I think Valve has 3-5 until it gives it out to courier, not until it’s at the target. At least my package took exactly 5 days until I got **tracking number from GLS**. Then GLS took another 3 days delivering it for me, so 3-5 days Valve claimed was 8. (10 if you include weekend).

My friend ordered 4 minutes before me, and got it 3 days later (2 of which were another weekend).
