I had my steam deck lcd for a year and sold it just before the oled was released. I got my oled a few days and I really feel a performance improvement in most games . I know there’s supposed to be a slight increase but it feels like a lot more .

Also I don’t feel the dips as much anymore, I’m guessing because of the screen ?

What are your thoughts on this ?

    The boost isn’t huge. It’s within 2-3 FPS in most places I’ve seen vids of any difference. Sometimes there isn’t much or any difference.

    But with the higher refresh rate, it will feel smoother. Because with frame-doubling/tripling, depending on how much FPS you are getting or are capped at, your screen will be refreshing twice or three times per frame; which will feel better to your brain/eyes.

      I mean… If it feels better to your eyes, isn’t that literally all that matters? I would call that a significant improvement

      It’s a noticeable improvement for me. Games that had a hard time maintaining a stable frame rate just run well now.
