Yeah I mean that has always been the advantage of PC gaming, the competitive game prices and the “portability” (in this case, meaning how easy it is to transfer games from virtually any kind of PC to any other kind of PC).

You should only use the stick to bring your view to the target, then let go and use the gyro to fine-tune your aim. It does take some getting used to – I would liken it to learning how to use a mouse and keyboard after growing up using a controller.
I also recommend using ‘gyro to mouse’ set to ‘world space’. That’s felt the most natural to me across a few different games like CS2 and Starfield

Armored Core VI is running 60 FPS on high settings now
Starfield is much smoother, steady 30FPS on low, even in outdoor areas
Plenty of threads about this, but Half Life 1 got a big update and is actually an incredible classic if you’ve never played it before (even if you have, definitely worth revisiting on the Deck)
Wow, perfect timing for me. I had started playing it earlier this week just because I was bored. I think I was able to truly appreciate this update since it landed halfway through my playthrough. I was already super impressed with how well the gameplay stood up after all these years, but now with official SD support and all the graphical enhancements I’m honestly blown away. Definitely a must-have deck title
Oh yeah. Comes very handy for games like Armored Core, where you get super far into a level then have to go, but can’t save your progress manually. Just put it in sleep mode 😊
I don’t use a screen protector. I’ve had my Deck for over a year now, travel frequently with it, and there are no visible scratches on the screen.
I had one briefly when I first got the Deck, but it made everything on my 512GB anti-glare screen blurry so I took it off, haven’t looked back since
If I were in your position I might. Would also be cool to have a backup / auxiliary Deck 😎
To play a bit of devil’s advocate, from what Ive seen scalpers are usually people from parts of the world with virtually no better ways to make money and/or people with very few economic opportunities.
But not always, sometimes it’s just some broski with too much time and money on their hands lol
The only handheld PC to beat the Steam Deck would of course be the Steam Deck 😄
But it can and does, on medium settings.
It can hold 40 on low
Starfield, no idea why that game is “Unsupported” but it’s beautiful on the Deck
