HI, I recently installed Sunshine on my PC and moonlight on the deck. Everything is pretty straightforward. Moonlight finds my PC, i pair them via the pin and when i open moonlight i see steam big picture and it opens up just fine.

Here is where i am having some issues.

  1. for some reason when in game mode, moonlight will only be in black and white. It shows up with regular color when the steam deck is in desktop mode

  2. i cannot get the controller to work. I can use the trackpad as a mouse device but then i cannot play anything with the built in controls on the deck.

I truly don’t know what i am doing wrong here. Any help is appreciated. Thanks

Update. I was able to get the controller to work by installing vigembus. With regards to the color, I unistalled and reinstalled a couple of times and then it magically worked after i removed the performance (FPS) overlay on the steam deck. Not sure why there was an issue but i tried playing for 5 minutes and it seemed to work

The color might be a form of HDR visualization if you’ve got an OLED Deck. Try turning that setting off from the Deck’s display menu if you do.

Do you have a controller plugged into the PC? There was a time when I needed the controller unplugged for Moonlight controls to work.
