    Another 7840 based device priced as if it had a dGPU. And this has the nerve to be plastic fantastic as well.

    finally a decent non-dGPU AMD laptop?

    Soldered ram tho, and the “low power” screen is pretty dim

    How good is the 7840u for gaming vs the 7840hs?

    I considered an IdeaPad Pro with a 7840HS but it has a super high resolution screen when really all I want us 1080P for that Radeon 780M…

      They are identical hardware wise and only ram speed and power matter there. If you want to actually game in any meaningful manner get that 4050 option with the IdeaPad Pro. High resolution displays will increasingly be a main selling point of multimedia laptops and gaming on the iGP at native resolution will NEVER be the focus.
