for some reason i just did a youtube video test and the battery only lasted 5 hours just playing a youtube video. I thought normal laptop usage is like 7+ ?

Is hardware video acceleration enabled? Without it, video decoding is not that trivial a job and can consume more power than one would expect. If you are using Firefox, you can see if you are using acceleration by going to about:support and checking the video decoding table after playing a video. If you are using the Fedora build (not the Flatpak package) you can follow this guide
