Seen a guy unironically wanting handheld market to adopt Legion Go’s screen as a standard for future handhelds, and I couldn’t disagree more.

I’d love my future Steam Deck 2 to pack a 7+ inch 1080p bezel-less OLED (optional) screen that’s actually capable of keeping up with its APU for many years to come like the current Deck does without me having to sacrifice the native resolution from the get go.

People tend to talk shit about Deck’s 800p display, but it just made me realize how good of a idea it was in the first place. It ensured longevity and affordable price.

I like the 8+" screen on the Lenovo because the resolution is exactly twice that of the Steam Deck, which means it can either give you sharp UI and low power games OR half the resolution down to the Steam Deck’s 1280x800p. Both will be native without any scaling artifacts like you get going 720p on the Asus Ally’s 7" 1080p screen.

The higher framerate also diminishes the tearing even though it lacks the VRR of the Ally.

So yeah. Give me a Steam Deck 2 with the Lenovo screen size, resolution, and refresh rate. It’s just all add.
