Hey guys, every morning when I wake up my laptop is pretty much always dead. I don’t shut it down, I just shut the lid. Anyone else having this problem? Could something be running in the background when the laptop is sleeping?

Just to check, you don’t have the option on that the laptop shouldn’t go to sleep when you close the lid? What CPU do you have as 11th gen seems to report similar issues.

Windows sleep is a broken piece of s… I had several laptops where it would wake up for no reason and drain the battery. Hibernation or full shutdown is the way to go for me

    Hi,

This is probably an intel laptop running windows. The problem here is that windows is not being optimized correctly nowadays.

The only way to avoid this problem is to disconnect the laptop from the internet and recently the Bluetooth. The reason is that the laptop will check for updates and so on and it will drain the battery. ( not optimized windows)

So in summary, turn off the WIFI and Bluetooth and or disconnect it from the internet if you are using a cable connection.

    Good luck!
