Others have given you plenty of info so all I can add is that it works with a few tweaks on Mint 21.1 for me 😁

No worries! Mistakes can be made 😁. Would have been a valid claim if it were the case.
Again hope you will enjoy the laptop either way!
They do actually tell you and it is also in their FAQ. It is quite easy to find if you just open it.
Honestly I’m running the same use cases on my Ryzen 5 and it is plenty. The 7 could have been better sure, but I didn’t think it was worth it.
Hope you’ll enjoy your laptop!
I have no Apple Tag experience but I do have Samsung Smart Tag experience. The latter functions similarly to how you describe Windows’ feature even with the more expensive version.
Neither are that perfect it seems. How does the Apple Tag work?
Aside from nothing wrong with actually doing this, is that really the best option?
Now a slot is filled and let’s assume you are using Windows, you can always use ‘Find my device’. Sure if you aren’t using Windows and not so sure what Linux would have to offer in that sense but I’m curious why this couldn’t be a solid alternative.
That isn’t a 64 GB kit but a single 32 stick. You probably meant this.
On that note, I have the exact kit I just mentioned with the AMD Ryzen 5 7640u. Works fine so far!
Yeah no troubles so far. I did prepare my SSD months in advance and just chucked it into the laptop without much trouble. It was a clean install of both OS but it could have been cleaner. I did grab the drivers after putting the SSD in the laptop.
Haven’t updated the BIOS yet so as a batch 1 user I might be behind on that.
You might also be interested in the benchmarks I did so far. You can find those here.
Hi there. Framework 13 AMD Ryzen 5 7640u user here. I have
Why that kernel? Because I saw that as a recommendation on the forums.
I’m using Crucial RAM CT2K32G56C46S5 which is 2x 32 GB, 5600 MHz and CL46.
What do you want to know 😀
Just to check, you don’t have the option on that the laptop shouldn’t go to sleep when you close the lid? What CPU do you have as 11th gen seems to report similar issues.
At the very least this feature is available on the 13 AMD laptop. Hopefully it’ll be in the 16.
I have the 64GB version of that kit and like glumpoodle said, it works fine for the AMD Ryzen 5 7640U Framework 13.
When I go to work I usually use the LTT backpack but that’s just me being a goof. Definitely a nice bag though.
Outside of work I carry my Framework 13 around in this.
Hopefully they have it in stock somewhere for you. It fits tight (not too tight) and seems protective enough. It even has a satchel that you can remove for adapter and cards.
