My mom needs a new phone. She is used to Samsung so Samsung it is. A54 is 400€ and S23 is about 800€. Is S23 that much better?

Samsung don’t have screen protectors like in OnePlus from factory. So installing them without dustor air bubbles is gonna be tough.

Unless your mom really needs a compact phone, wireless charge, or better camera the a54 is fine no reason to spend the extra money.

A54 would be more than enough. Bigger screen and battery will be more valuable for mom. I have S23 and my gf A54 and we are both happy with our devices.

For screen protector I would recommend tempered glass from Spigen, it has frame for easy alignment and I never had any air bubbles with it.

As far as installing the screen protector without dust specs. Run the hot shower for a few minutes until you get a little steam, that’ll settle all the flying dust to the ground inside the bathroom door closed. Proceed to install the tempered glass shield in the bathroom. 99% of the times air bubbles do not form as long as you line it up right the first time. I’ve done so many of these I can do it blind folded.

23 is much better and worth the money but don’t take it from me you have the reddit community listing off specs and features. overall the too devices cater to two segments, budget camera experience. top of the line flagship users. however, this doesn’t mean you are just wasting money on useless high end tech, the money does effect day to day use, from its better materials used, to the most expensive component, the chipset which affects longevity. overall, S line will always be better than A because A is designed to be cheap, S is design to last

In my case, I got my mom an S23 because even though she won’t be making full use of the S23’s features and powerful chip, it would be reasssuring for future use since barely change phones. But if I was on a budget, I would consider others as well.

S23 is more reliable and dependable phone. Great for everyday use. From camera to performance to battery backup everything is great. This phone will seriously last for years to come

It does not hurt to have a look at older models. S20 and S21 series are cheaper now but with almost the same quality as the S23 series. My mom uses the S20 and no complaints yet.

S20 and S21 are good enough but these S23 and A54 are in local store in good prices. With S23 you can even get a 14" chromebook.

Bro, your mom probably doesn’t game. Nor does editing or know how to use cameras as they are meant to be. The A54 should be more than enough for her
