Average cost of replacement is $100, much cheaper than buying a new phone. I don’t think debloating will help much if the battery is that old honestly, you could keep it on battery saver all the time but I’m not sure if there is a way to set it so that your notifications aren’t delayed I’ve never really used the feature.

A54 or a mint condition used or refurbished S22 plus, I don’t recommend FE models.

Android 14 was still a beta when released for the Pixel lets hope some issues have been fixed since then for Samsungs release.

I’ve used both the base s22 and the s22 plus. The base s22 should have been recalled, it overheated all the time and battery life was abysmal. I don’t have heating issues with my s22 plus, battery life is still lacking although it’s doable with an evening charge.

Unless your mom really needs a compact phone, wireless charge, or better camera the a54 is fine no reason to spend the extra money.

There is a A14 but the A15 will be out within a few months, depends on her needs but the a54 would be a good choice and I don’t know if it matters but the A14 is a brick in size.
