We both currently have A50’s but her battery drops pretty quick. So I am looking at replacing hers. The only complaint I have with the A50 is finger print to unlock the phone doesn’t work all the time. I have no problem with using it to unlock apps though.

Thinking about either getting the A54 or A23. But the A23 is already over a year old. Is the A24 the successor to the A23? I don’t see a US only version for the A24. I have been burned before buying unlocked made for other regions.

Are the A23 and A54 my only options?

Only 1 data point but I’m happy with my A54. Nice FHD screen, good battery life and a handy midsize profile. It is not a flagship, but has about 50% better AnTuTu performance than the S10.

Currently $399.99 at samsung website with a $150 trade in on an undamaged A50.

Pro tip on the fingerprint issue (this works on all phones). Add your main finger as two separate fingerprints in the phone.

I can buy just about any of these phones on Amazon. The A33 there is not a US version. Would the unlocked o e work? Possibly but it more depends on the bands the phone uses.

A54 is a king within this price range. I have a case and I dropped the phone like 10 times. Still fine. The battery is extremely good and long. I haven’t had elany issue with lag, bug and all that. The phone is fast. Been using it for a year I think and still liking it.

I’ve been seriously considering replacing my S20 FE work phone with the A54 5G. It looks like a solid phone and will be a significant upgrade from the A50. Plus, brand new so 4 years of OS updates and 5 years of security updates.

Don’t change to A series if ur current phone is s series … believe me performance and some s series features are different

The performance isn’t a concern for me because the phone is my “work phone” so I only use it for half a dozen apps. My daily driver is an S22+.

I know I would lose wireless charging, which is the main reason I’m hesitating. I’m also not in a rush and am considering the S23 FE since it came out yesterday, but that much performance for a device that I use for a couple hours a day is hard to justify. Especially since I can get the A54 for ~$200 with a trade-in.

I would, ppl just see S series & think it’s good but they’re niave! My S20fe was the worst phone I ever owned in my life! No doubt in my mind the A54 is better then your s20fe! If you can afford a used s23 from Swappa I’d go that route!

I honestly liked my daughters A52 so much better then my S20fe & mine was hundreds of dollars more. It was esse the sane phone but the Fe was supposed to have a better camera & it was much worse. I got the s23 now and am very happy with it but I’d go A 54 if I couldn’t get the s23. I always recommend watch YouTube videos of real ppl, not paid ppl that lie & go from there.

None. Go for the s21 fe if you want to stay on samsung. And dont go for the s23 fe if you have the budget. The s23 fe is more expensive then s23 and almost the same price as the s23+.

I had an a10 for a while and did have any real issues with it. It was not a US phone though and didn’t work well on Tmobile where I live.

There is a A14 but the A15 will be out within a few months, depends on her needs but the a54 would be a good choice and I don’t know if it matters but the A14 is a brick in size.
