We both currently have A50’s but her battery drops pretty quick. So I am looking at replacing hers. The only complaint I have with the A50 is finger print to unlock the phone doesn’t work all the time. I have no problem with using it to unlock apps though.

Thinking about either getting the A54 or A23. But the A23 is already over a year old. Is the A24 the successor to the A23? I don’t see a US only version for the A24. I have been burned before buying unlocked made for other regions.

Are the A23 and A54 my only options?

I’ve been seriously considering replacing my S20 FE work phone with the A54 5G. It looks like a solid phone and will be a significant upgrade from the A50. Plus, brand new so 4 years of OS updates and 5 years of security updates.

The performance isn’t a concern for me because the phone is my “work phone” so I only use it for half a dozen apps. My daily driver is an S22+.

I know I would lose wireless charging, which is the main reason I’m hesitating. I’m also not in a rush and am considering the S23 FE since it came out yesterday, but that much performance for a device that I use for a couple hours a day is hard to justify. Especially since I can get the A54 for ~$200 with a trade-in.

I would, ppl just see S series & think it’s good but they’re niave! My S20fe was the worst phone I ever owned in my life! No doubt in my mind the A54 is better then your s20fe! If you can afford a used s23 from Swappa I’d go that route!
