  • All I know is it has a locked bootloader, if it can be custom ROMed it will probably have very little support. Most of not all Samsung phones (At least S series) only have ROMs for Exynos, maybe there’s some snapdragon ROMs out there but idk, I’d like if a more knowledgeable person would explain it tbh

  • You should know it’s an amazing phone that will serve you for many years to come. Amazing cameras, display, speakers, processor holds up very well and the phone is still snappy, comes in 12 and 16gb of RAM, and since it’s the Exynos you’ll be able to custom ROM it later down the line. It’s the best value phone you can get for the price and a massive upgrade from the iPhone X in every way :D

  • Exynos is your best choice if you wanna mess with it for fun like I’m planning on doing. I’ll probably Custom ROM it when I get another phone. A few years from now you will look back either in regret if you got the Snapdragon or happy if you chose the Exynos that your old phone is still working well in the latest OS version, although unofficial. My S7 Edge that I custom ROMed is still in use once in a while, which would just not happen had I gotten the Snapdragon. That’s why I personally willingly chose the Exynos variant.
