Hi all,

Been unsuccessfully trying to figure this out for the last few months, and ordered a s23+ in early September that seems like it won’t come any time soon, so checking ti see if anyone here can make my phone usable again.

Got my S8+ in 2017 and haven’t had really any issue with it until this year where my storage has been glitching a lot. I have had to delete apps as their code has shown as astronomically large (one example, uber eats code once showed as 1.5 gigs, not data and cache, the app itself).

I recently downloaded DiskUsage, and it is showing my phone with 25.4 gigs of apps/data etc, and 26.9 gigs of system data.

My phone consistently has between 400-600 mb free and I’ve deleted every app I don’t use regularly, and have been just using the web browser for some that I do use frequently.

Any help would be great, I use app mgr III to clear caches and move apps to my SD card, AVG Cleaner to clear caches for redundancy, greenify to force close my apps, and I clear the cache manually with the restart, Bixby and volume up button daily.

Hmm, if it’s not feasible to get your $ back, ask for additional compensation in a form of a partial refund or something to make it worth more of your time and troubles.

If not, I’d see if you can get the S23+ elsewhere or pivot to another model in stock, like the S23 base.

So far they have offered me $50 to the Samsung store which I declined since I don’t think I’ll purchase through them again. Might just cancel and try to buy outright at Verizon.

$50 is a putrid “offer” on Samsung’s end. Verizon could offer some deals for something as old as the S8 too, but I am not quite sure. Challenge is if you buy outright, you’d have to wait to get it unlocked.

Check out Best Buy for a fully unlocked version of the S23+ as another option. Same with Amazon. Best Buy offers price matches for about 14 days I think, so you might be able to get in some early holiday pricing too while not having to wait to get a good working phone.
