All PS4 games, especially remastered, are insane. I bought mine 2 weeks ago and have only played a handful of games. The only true PS5 game I’ve played is Cyberpunk. I’m playing through TLOU2 right now and it blows my fucking mind. What I’ve learned, because I was in your boat thinking the same thoughts, just grab the machine and don’t worry about the games. You’ll find what you like. Let the machine knock your socks off. (I’m coming from Xbox One X and PS4 Pro)
Interestingly, TLOU2 is a ps4 game with ps4 graphics (and yes, it looks amazing!), but the graphics aren’t improved one bit on ps5. The only difference is the fps being unlocked to 60fps. It was amazing what naughty dog could pull off graphically on PS hardware. Hell TLOU1 was a PS3 game.
The first game I played when I got my PS5 was Ghost of Tsushima and was absolutely blown away. I then played Spider-Man, the Miles Morales version, then RE8. The lack of loading screens, seamless gameplay, and visuals are incredible. I wish I had a better comparison to give you but I was coming from a regular slim PS4 to 5 so the change to me was pretty massive. With the games interacting with the controller in a new way with haptics I felt much more immersed. I’d say it’s significant in an upgrade but I’m unsure of the practical processing power of the pro. From testing I’ve seen the pro 4 still had loading screens whereas I’ve yet to experience any on the 5.
Try hogwarts, it takes couple of weeks to finish but it’s really amazing and you can explore alot of things. The level of detail is great! Sadly once you finish it it’s limited.
So… what are the go-to games? I bought a PS4 pro during Covid and I’m not sure it’s worth the upgrade just yet.

TIL. Wow!
I still have our PS4 for when my kiddo and I wanna play creative mode (if we’re doing BR, we just do split screen on our tv).
The first time I booted it and played on it, the difference between quality was insane. Couldn’t believe the difference.
not worth imo, have it and it collects dust
My immediate answer to this is always Returnal and Demon Souls remake (if you’re into those games).
Returnal was way more fun and interesting than I thought it was going to be before I started
