I know this does not have a good chance to happen, but what if Valve moved to ARM platform for Steam Deck 2? Steam Deck made people play games made for Windows on a Linux system more than ever. And Qualcomm-since Apple won’t sell M chips to other companies-is finally experiencing huge breakthroughs in terms of performance and power efficiency for ARM chips so if Valve manages to come up with something like Proton again, but now it let’s Linux on ARM play most games made for Windows on X86. ARM chips consume far less power compared to x86 so this will benefit handheld gaming devices tremendously in terms of battery life or thermals.

    Just daydreaming.
