After having an oled switch coming from the og one, I couldn’t care less about oled it’s not that big of a deal. but I’m still very satisfied with valve. so in the end I’m still happy this device exists, and I’m happy they updated the screen to get more people on board.
Couldn’t disagree more with the screen comparison. For me, the upgrade from the Switch IPS LCD to the OLED was phenomenal. The OG Steam deck screen is arguably a lot worse than the OG switch LCD screen, so I’m very excited to have this upgrade option. Not everyone is as fanatical about when quality as myself, but for those of us who are, the OLED option reigns supreme. Not to mention the extra goodies such as HDR support, the apu shrink, more efficient cooling and memory clock frequency increase.
