My steamdeck must be defective or something. I Constantly have software bugs with it. Whether the onscreen keyboard never shows up anymore, never stops verifying install, games not recognizing keyboard and mouse, and so much more. I’ve spent more time trouble shooting than actually enjoying it.
You can wipe and reinstall SteamOS can’t you? It’s kind of like what happens with Windows for many people after a couple years: Needs a wipe to refresh it
I had similar issues with mine and RMA’d it for a new deck which had no issues. This was a solid 6 months after purchasing too so it might be worth contacting their support.

I’m sure I could yes. Seems like a bad option, I’ve probably only put 60hours into my steamdeck so it seems a little ridiculous tbh.
That’s impossible. Steam OS is perfect because it runs on Linux.

Yeah, that sounds defective. You could try reinstalling the OS and seeing if it helps
