Yes I get that it kind of sucks having just bought one and then a new one gets announced but some people are in a panic now. Your Deck is not obsolete. It is still the best handheld pc you can buy right now. Enjoy it.

I got mine last year and still love the thing to death. Does the OLED tempt me? Of course, but I also know that selling my current Deck at a loss would hurt. Like you said, I’ve already seen a ton of listings go up for the LCD model on eBay and the like.
SteamOS 3.5 will be launching at some point and will come with color options so that should be interesting. I know you can get it through the beta channel, but I prefer to wait for the stable release personally. The LCD is still a great device that can get great mileage until the SD2.
I’d love a trade in like others, yet it most likely won’t happen.
