Curious to see which model everyone will be going for.

And if you already own the original Steam Deck, will you be replacing it with the OLED version? Or sticking with the original?

I’m gonna stick with my current Deck because it does everything i need it to do. Maybe in a year or two i’ll consider an upgrade, but rn it’d be a waste of my money.

512gb as I’m an OLED diehard and that etched glass is a big no no. Plus $100 bucks more for basically 512gb more SSD space is Apple levels of insane.

If I get any OLED, it will have to be the 512. I think the 1tb OLED’s etching will make the OLED pop less, and I already have a 1tb drive I can salvage from my old Deck.

None. A better screen, battery, and wifi doesn’t change the fact everything still has to be played at low to barely get 30 fps in some new games.

I will stick to the LCD version:

    • the upgrade will cost a couple hundred because steam deck already is super cheap on ebay so re-sale value is bad.
    • the OLED is also just 720p, the APU is about the same and I dont need the faster wifi.
      • tiny upgrades only :-(
    • its simply not worth it to pay 200-300€ just for an OLED upgrade
      • it would be worth it with a 30% fps bump or a BETTER way to connect it to a TV (like the switch - slide in slide out - not shitty cable)
