Ive been looking at the steam deck for the past couple weeks now and the oled just got announced. Should i wait for the oled, but with a chance of being sold out within the first minutes its released. Or get the 512GB lcd for a reduced price, but being of course the older model? Sorry for my english, not my first language.

OLED deck if you can. The second hand market is going to be saturated with LCD switches and prices will tank on them kind of like what happend with the switch OLED launch and the LCD switch.

Could always find a killer deal on second hand LCD decks too since the prices will drop on those.
If you don’t care about the OLED portion to a significant amount just snag the older one now or the 256 model at standard price. If you really need OLED go for that one. The only major differences are, thermals, slight APU efficiency jump, display, and ram speed. If you want the OLED enough you’d be better off waiting since you don’t own one yet
