Hello,

I’m going to buy one of these as an upgrade from a 12th gen. For 90% gaming usage which do you think would be a better way to go? There is only a $180.00 price difference between the two. I’m going to be pairing this with an MSI Z790 EDGE DDR4 motherboard with 4000 CL14 4x8 ram. I also currently already have a corsair 360 AIO. Does the 14900k have a better memory controller? I’ve also read that APO is only available currently on the 14900k? I’m not sure if that’s accurate or not? Which one would you guys go with? Thx

I currently don’t have a desktop, but I just ordered some parts today. I went with a 14900k, primarily because I can spend whatever I want on the build. My build in total will cost over $6k. Between the cpu, motherboard and the asus rog 4090 strix, I’ve already spent $4.1k.

Do I need these parts? No. Do I want them? Yes. Buy the 14900k if finances don’t matter.
