Installed windows 10 to play some ea games but now want to go back to steamos. I followed a tutorial that used refind to boot directly into windows I think.

Basically I know I can boot into steam os by manually using refind but not sure how to factory reset my steam deck to normal.

Is there any easy way to do this? Thanks

You don’t have to do this! I also went through this same thing as OP but sadly I’m trying to remember exactly what I used. Basically you can just use a bootable thumb drive with a partition manager, basically what you have to do anyway to setup a partiton for Windows int he first place. I deleted the partition with it and gave all the free storage back to SteamOS partition by expanding that partition back. I remember though it was scary af because it actually froze up for like 1 hour on the “resizing” part and I ended up hard powering it off and back on, but all was well, Windows was gone and the space was all back. I think I used EaseUS Partition Master to do it.

edit - I also seem to recall having to edit the boot loader file I believe to make it auto boot back to SteamOS whereas before it was auto booting to Windows on power off and on but I don’t recall the details of that either but Google will definitely find that info.
