You don’t have to do this! I also went through this same thing as OP but sadly I’m trying to remember exactly what I used. Basically you can just use a bootable thumb drive with a partition manager, basically what you have to do anyway to setup a partiton for Windows int he first place. I deleted the partition with it and gave all the free storage back to SteamOS partition by expanding that partition back. I remember though it was scary af because it actually froze up for like 1 hour on the “resizing” part and I ended up hard powering it off and back on, but all was well, Windows was gone and the space was all back. I think I used EaseUS Partition Master to do it.
edit - I also seem to recall having to edit the boot loader file I believe to make it auto boot back to SteamOS whereas before it was auto booting to Windows on power off and on but I don’t recall the details of that either but Google will definitely find that info.
Portable firefox with dual touchpads. Not that I’m doing that, it just would be a ridiculous thing to buy to do that.
