Honestly, it’s sitting right in the middle of your living room. It’s not crazy to care about how the thing looks and choose something else based partly on that.
Sure. And you can get fans to ventilate the cabinet, or you can have the cabinet door open. Or you can buy Darkplates from D Brand.
Or you can decide it’s not worth trying to work around how ugly the PS5 is and either buy a different console or buy a nice computer case and build an htpc instead (which is the route I went, incidentally).
All of these are valid options if you hate the look of the PS5. I didn’t say it wasn’t a solveable problem, just that it’s valid to consider the aesthetics of the thing.
