I want to finally play zelda botw and newer pokemon games. Do you think steam deck might be good option for that?

    its not the worst for botw or totk, I was getting stable 30fps in totk back around a month after release. Violet tho, it was pretty unoptimized last time I tried. I will say tho emulating pokemon games get kinda boring as you lose out on all the “multiplayer” aspects of it.

      Modding the pokemon games is the way to go. I’ve heard it runs at a solid 30 with the 3.5 update, but I haven’t tried it myself

    Playable, yes. Easy, depends on your ability to work with software. I found it decently easy but not easy enough for me to continue using. Turns out my steam library has plenty for me to play

    It’s incredibly good for my wife who only plays hard to find expensive Japanese visual novels exclusive to switch.

    Depends on the game. Some run extremely well to the point where it’s identical to the Switch performance but some of the more demanding games like Tears of the Kingdom are going to be a subpar experience. Tinkering is expected if the game doesn’t run at the 30fps/60fps that you want it to run at.
