Dear fellow SD users,

A trivial, point-blank question. Are you going to upgrade?

As I have the (former) top-of-the-line and non-modded model, I wonder if the improvements of the OLED version justify the price. I believe they do, especially in the long run. What’s your take? Will you hold on what you have or bite the bullet?

Thanks for your replies :)

    upgrade mean :

Losing a significant amount of time trying to resell a base Steam Deck with a 1TB disk for approximately 350e. If you opt for the 64GB version and add a 1TB NVMe, your total loss is 150e (100e for the SSD and 50e for the deck, given the original cost was 400e).

There’s a reliance on luck for the newer model to be in stock after selling yours. In Europe, it’s priced at 570e. Considering the loss from selling the base model (570e-350 = 220e in loss + the 150e you loose selling it comparing to its base value) so it’s a 370e upgrade

it’s the price of another base 64GB Steam Deck and this is assuming the buyer isn’t trying to scam you.
