Anyone think the front plate of the Steam Deck case will be the same as that of the new OLED? Seems unlikely they’ll be interchangeable given the newer boards inside but… I’d really love to save the Dbrand Clone of the Kingdom skin on my LCD deck should I buy an OLED version haha. Removing and reapplying the skin itself seems impossible to do without damaging it so I’m wondering if swapping the front half of the case will be possible. The new screw posts of the back make that half definitely impossible.
Skins should transfer over just fine since the dimensions and cutouts are the same. If you’re super careful you can probably reuse your current skin, but you might need to buy a new one. Still, skins made for the original Deck should absolutely work. Frontplates probably won’t though; they changed the mountpoint for the OLED screen.
