I think people are truly switching, apart from IOS I don’t see any superiority from the iphone.

We have phones like Xiaomi 14 pro, pixel 8 pro. Samsung’s s24 coming, even the S23 ultra is still a solid phone over the iphone.

I never was an Apple user.

Heard horror stories about how against “right to repair” they are.

And people are truly switching from Android phones to iPhones as well, what is your point? It’s a personal choice when it comes to switching, some do it permanently, some do it to experiment. Besides, it’s all subjective when it comes to whichever phone they find superior.

I have both a work iPhone12 and Flip5 personal phone. I love my iPhone for work-use - it’s just easy to use, good keyboard, corporate apps work great.

My Flip5 (and any previous Samsung personal phone I’ve had - S20+, S10, S9, S6 etc.), I’d never want to use for work. Something about it feels clunkier and messier - just the UI and customisability options making it like that.

On the Flip-side (haha) - I’d never want an iPhone for personal use. It’s boring - grid of apps, useless widgets, hardware and cameras are on-par but that’s it. Samsung / OneUI is way more interesting to use. I don’t think I’ve ever needed to split screen apps on my work iPhone since I use it for something specific like an e-mail or Teams meeting, and my laptop for anything heavier - but I do it all time on my Flip. Wouldn’t change that setup.

In India, it’s totally the opposite.

Don’t have enough money to buy a Spotify subscription but have money for buying iPhones on EMI.

What irritates me here is how they compared iPhone to the company.

It should be company to company:

          Apple to Samsung

    or make to make:

          iPhone to Galaxy

    or model to model:

iPhone 15 pro Max Ultra to Galaxy S23 Ultra

    But nope… iPhone to Samsung.

Yeah the digital inverter motor reduces the noise and the vibrations very well. Signal is also very good, it connect to my wifi very easily unlike my old iphone, it kept disconnecting everytime

And no one cares more than r/samsung. For some reason this sub puts former iPhone users on a pedestal, it’s weird and pathetic.

It’s almost like the phone you choose is the logo you’re being associated with and the choices you make get you a dedicated logo and a personality

In a couple years I might make a “I’m switching from Samsung to a new Samsung” post… From what it looks like now, my Galaxy A20e will continue going for quite a while.
