is this a US thing carriers releasing updates sounds ridiculous never heard of it before.
It happens in the UK too. I had a UK EE Zfold4 and it had some EE software on it(a couple of apps). It got updates around a week or two later than the normal one from Samsung,.it also had a different ROM build number so it could only get the EE version ROM. All that was different on it though was the few apps that came pre installed from EE.
Phones aren’t allowed to be locked and tied into networks in the UK its illegal.
The Zfold4 I had was unlocked, I used it with my 3 SIM, it just had the EE apps and EE ROM build number. There are ways of getting back to a fully clean Samsung ROM but its quite complicated (not just flashing the EUX ROM).
Take it to EE and ask them to remove it.
Thats what I would do.
The apps are just for your accounts and stuff you could always remove them :)
Think I hid them in the launcher, you can’t uninstall them, I tried.
