Intel has a lot of things going for it. In the consumer/enthusiast space I’d argue they have the better portfolio.

There’s definitely some good promos for intel parts (think 12900k + board +32GB RAM at microcenter for $400) but there’s more exciting things from AMD on the whole right now.
That’s because a lot of the volume comes from OEM deals.
My best guess is that Intel just does a better job of serving OEMs from a business perspective. This includes thunderbolt as a competitive advantage (though USB4 will evaporate that)
Also laptops… For low power things Intel still does VERY well. Alderlake isn’t bad at low power levels.
Are they even competitive with AMD?
