According to Gamer’s Nexus, the internals have almost a complete overhaul. Valve specifically made it easier to replace the screen, and with it being an OLED, they were able to make it much more accessible to be replaced. Which now doesn’t require a full tear down, like you have to with the original LCD model.

Personally I wouldn’t want to pull it without at least removing the analog sticks. As Linus discovered, it can get…melty…
Is the battery any easier to replace on OLED version ?
Having watched ltt it’s still glued, less glue but still glue.
Man I love these new updates, I just wish us LCD Deck users would be able to take advantage
