I am using my S10+ for 4 years now and I have no reason to get a new phone apart from the lack of updates. It feels old without updates, if you understand what I mean. What is a big downside for not getting any updates anymore? Security maybe?

Coming from Apple my old IPhone was supported for what felt like ages.

I could spend the money on a new phone but I don’t really see the point. I don’t want to spend it just so I can get new updates. The S10+ just feels perfect, it’s crazy to me how good the battery is + performance and everything else. The phone also just looks good. It has no fault apart form regular updates.

Could you maybe list some reason why I should get a new phone or why I should still wait.

I only upgraded from my S10 cause I finally got cute and went caseless and no later than a week later dropped my phone off a ladder. Only then did I pull the trigger cause Verizon did a crazy promo where I essentially paid $20 out of pocket for the s23.

I’ll tell you now, my S10 ran fine, and I don’t feel it’s a major difference now on the s23. As others said, the lack of updates shouldn’t be the deciding factor, only upgrade if/when performance drops.

I’m pretty sure pound for pound the 23 line is still only marginal upgrade over the 10 line, plus/minus which features are subjectively most important to you!
