I don’t know anything about technology stuff but I do know he’s been wanting a steam deck for a while.
I have a dumb question, so looking at the new steam deck that is being released, can you upgrade the SSD? Like if I buy the 512 GB, will he be able to buy a part in the future to a 1TB?
Another question, is it worth getting the new steam deck? I know it has upgrades compared to the LCD but I’m not sure if it’s really good or not.
Again, I know nothing about technology so I would appreciate the help :)
Yes ma’am. Any 2230 single sided NVME from a decent brand will work. I use the Corsair MP600 mini myself.
The OLED version looks like the best version of the Deck - not only is the screen a lot better, but there’s a lot of other really nice changes, like 50% more battery life, torx screws for when you open it up to do the drive swap, cooler temps/quieter fans, better wifi, Valve basically fixed almost every major pain point the community had with the original Deck with this refresh.
The LCD Decks are still amazing though and you can get them for a steal if cost is a concern.
