I just bought an s10 from a friend (got it cheap) what is your review of that phone?
Yes, if the main concern is having a capable phone to every day usage. The only thing to pay attention is the battery
I still have my S10+ as a backup backup phone, just recently did a factory reset on it. Still runs pretty smooth. Wouldn’t mind using it if my S23U and S21U fail.
you have 3 phones… wh… what… how… w… why?
I have 9, 4 of those are daily.
Nope, no more updates.
Why not?
Great phone. I’m dailying my S10+
it is good as long as it does what you need it to do
good backup phone. Great phone actually but won’t recommend as the primary phone due to security updates
There’s nothing wrong with its security lmao
I had an S10+ from March 2020 until March of this year when my S23U arrived. I would have kept it for another year or 2, but I upgraded because Google Fi had an insanely good deal for the S23Us and my nephew wanted his first smartphone as he was about to start high school. I figured it was better (and cheaper) to give him my S10+, which was still performing well, instead of a cheaper phone.
It had slowed down a bit, but it was still performing better at the 3-year mark (really 4 years when you consider it came out in March 2019) than my previous phones were at the 3-year mark. My S10+ was taking really good pictures as well, and I’ve printed a few of them out.
It’s still a lovely and beautiful phone. Imho the best design and most balanced smartphone that Samsung ever put together at its time.
I’d definitely be able to still use it today. Indeed the lack of security updates is likely the main pain as eventually vulnerabilities may emerge, the longer it goes unpatched. It still got updated earlier this year for a critical Exynos vulnerability though, and I wouldn’t say it’s in the same “unsafe” class yet as some of the older models that have been going for years without updates now.
But going forward it will be slowly joining them. And it’s a shame that it didn’t make it for the extended support that kicked in for the later phones. As otherwise, it’s still very capable.
Still good but end of life or near end of life so OS updates are done. Can probably get 1-2 years out of it before you start to notice things not working correctly.
Shit, we still have people here that have s7’s. They work fine but have some app compatibility issues now.
It’s definitely good to go unless you care about security updates. Definitely a great phone capability-wise. Even after 4 years the software was very smooth, which itself was a huge win for me. Other than that, camera is quite good and it handled lot of games. Only problem was the small battery.
I have a s10+ (since '19)and have no issue…Maybe the battery, a full charge won’t last more the 7-8hrs (but that’s with me playing my game Sniper Strike)…Love my phn I was literally at Best buy 2days ago looking to upgrade. $1100-$1200 for the 23U?. I paid $600 for S10+ which I will be keeping because it works just as good the day I got it. I don’t understand why ppl upgrade so frequently when these phones cld cost as much a someone’s 1st car lol
Right now I have a iPhone X, is the s10 better and faster?
Yes. I still use it ans intend to do so for at least another 4 years.
If you are anywhere except for America, you can also update it to OneUI 5.1 and soon 6.0 (though 6 0 sucks).
After a lot of tests i can say that my old galaxy note 9 takes better photos than s23u. Especially selfies…
I think it’s still very good even as a primary phone, the only downside might be the battery life
