Lies of P is a really incredible Soulsike, but what is it compared to ? A generic game and a remake. That’s a joke.
And besides that, this whole selection just shows how bad the state the stores are in. There isn’t a single blockbuster besides perhaps vampire survivors. And don’t tell me it’s because of its original design. Come on.
Anyways.
Duolingo slaps. They’ve had mad updates this year too. Super well designed and native feeling experience.
But why is it constantly a finalist? Surely there is at least one app released this year which is worth of that spot.
You’re underselling Lies of P. It’s compared to Bloodborne, one of the greatest PS3 games and I don’t know what remake you’re talking about (Demon’s Souls)? It’s nominated for best RPG at the VGAs and has an 80-84 on metacritic. Graphically beautiful with a great art direction and runs smooth on all hardware. It definitely deserves its praise.
I don’t think he’s criticizing Lies of P, rather he’s criticizing Elex II and Monkey Island that it’s running up against.
Oh that makes more sense. Still, Return to Monkey Island is not a remake, and it’s a critically lauded point and click game. Elex 2 is garbage though.
