Still kinda boggles my mind that Unpacking got a cultural impact award.

I’m gonna be really bummed if the new CEO, by coincidence, doesn’t have the name Johnny Appleseed.

When I worked at Apple as an At Home Advisor, we had sooo many people lose their jobs due to “internet issues”. They’d ask me to tell the sup they’d be late because they couldn’t sign in, but also tell me they overslept.

Apple at the time (2011-ish) had only so many times they’d put up with a bad connection being an issue. If you couldn’t get it under control, they’d cut you loose.

I really wish they’d do that at my new job because we 100% have people citing network issues when absolutely nothing points to a legit issue. But no, we let people continue to “have issues” for 4-5 years before even considering firing them.

IMO, do as much or as little as you want with regards to moderating. I know personally I’d get the heck out asap, so as not to say/do anything that could jeopardize the new gig. But that’s me.

In the moment, I really want you to stay in any capacity, just to spite that other guy in this thread.

Unpacking as a Cultural Impact finalist just seems weird, considering what all the other apps in that category do.

Would love, is possible, and will probably not happen for another 20 years: UI re-design. Skeumorphic was a thing for 6 iOS versions. “Flat” has been a thing for 11. I’m tired of it. If they won’t allow full theming, they should do it themselves. Even as just options.

I really hope some apps can’t exploit this.

Mostly because I VPN into some streaming apps, so they think I’m in a different country when I’m not to get that sweet dirt cheap PPV cost.

It’s amazing to me that it even has lasted this long, considering Apple released it and for the most part, hasn’t done much with it. You never really hear about updates/new features. And I can’t get over how it’s basically Daily Burn with (better?) Apple Watch integration. That they don’t do live classes or scenic classes to me is just wild.

I’d settle for an all-screen display and touchID on the power button, like that one iPad.

I’m really not a fan of the notch/Dynamic Island…though at least the latter actually does useful things.

I really wish they’d work on tvOS for actual TVs. Like Roku TV’s.

Or just have an HDMI stick for Apple TV. It’s so dumb having those full size pucks on every TV in the house.
