At least you made it physically broken, not like the issue when steam deck randomly bricks Kingston SD card
The thing is a guillotine.
Superglue
This is why I’m too scared to take mine apart. I don’t even have an SD card.
How? I have handled plenty of cards and i got them stuck by inserting them wrong, the spring not working properly, hell i even send it flying across the room several times cause of the spring being too stong. But never in my life have i seen this happaneing. Rip.
Wonder if the OLED Deck will have the same problem?
I took all steps when I did it and then my girlfriend end up breaking it I forgot how
I hadn’t removed the SD card since I got the deck the other day I was trying to get it out and when I pushed it in it clicked but didn’t get pushed out . I had to dig it out with tweezers, it was jammed pretty good as card survived but has a couple scratches now
I’m doing the 2TB memory upgrade too I wrote a punch list of stuff to before during and after the memory swap
I’m thinking I’m still gonna forget something
I was worried when I did the same upgrade, but made sure to write down several post it notes in my workspace to quadruple check. I took it out before I even started to unscrew the case, but my heart did still skip a beat and there was a mini moment of panic right before I was going to pop the case open… checked again enough tho I knew I had already removed it.
I was more worried about stripping the screws… just make sure you use the right screwdriver and don’t try to force it. Had zero problems - most difficult part was getting the foil sticker off and wiggling the batter connector from the mainboard - it’s in there at kind of a weird angle and is very tight, so just shimmy it gently back and forth and it will eventually dislodge itself.
I am going to be upgrading mine soon, I am already getting it in my head to remove the micro SD

Did they fix that in the OLED
Hey, it’s the thing every video warns about! Thanks for demonstrating
