If think if that had done the Hev suit, I think they would have made some other subtle touches to half life, like perhaps some grey accents from that suit or used the Half life logo as the “A” in steam logo on the back.
Or even better make it a piece of equipment from the half life universe like the back could not only have the suit logo on it but say property of black mesa if I remember correctly that’s the name of the company from half life right?
I think the point is, they want to make this a nod to themselves and long time fans of the company rather than link it to any of their specific games. Which is really cool because if it really is a nod to the old valve logos that pretty damn cool in my opinion
