I’m struggling to see how ebay wouldn’t cover you here tbh…
If you use the sellers address that’s listed on their profile (it’s every sellers responsibility to ensure whatever is listed as their address is correct) even if the seller messages you an alternative address to ship to you ignore it, always use what is listed on their profile.
Insured shipping, tracking proof item was successfully returned to said address and upload that tracking to the return.
Ebay hasn’t just shunned away its non techy customers. Buyers always win in these scenarios, ship him back a rock doesn’t matter, you’ll get 100% of your money back
It’s crazy that the person yelling in the top comment is wrong and has 1.1k likes and you who are right has 14. The power of capitalization I guess 🤷♂️
DO NOT DO THAT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES!!! eBay will not cover you when he says it’s missing.
I came to the comments to say this ^^^^
This is the one, never do anything outside of eBay or they won’t be able to help if anything happens.

Ebay will totally cover you… you can return using whatever service you want, as long as it’s tracked. It’s not a scam.
