This update makes vibrant deck obsolete, the colors look very good. I recommend this update. Of course it’s a preference thing but I have a picture of my settings and I think it looks very good. Try them out on your deck. I can’t wait to see how great the new Deck has to offer with the new OLED.

It’s just less stable than “Stable”. I can keep the Stable version running in desktop mode overnight for days on end, but the Preview versions always have these little bugs. Nothing showstopping, but enough it may or may not freeze when sitting unattended and on for such a time period.

Not all the issues have been ironed out.

I’ve bricked an OS in 3.5 by removing a SD card after a game was being uninstalled, turns out the uninstallation process was not over and It borked steam OS.

Just had to reimage the deck after that, so, not a big deal.

Unless you’re playing emulation or Starfield, which both benefit immensely from 3.5, stay on 3.4 until release.

Updates every other day get annoying after some time. Never uad any bugs except for some occasional reboots, but those resolved after going from -50 mV to -40 mV.

I wonder if the more frequent updates on preview also means that you need to redownload your shader cache more often?
