So guys after the latest windows 11 update (KB5031455) my Tuning Settings Stay (rage mode) even after restarting the PC.

I wanted to give some heads up if anyone with similar problem didn’t noticed it.

u/StormCr0w can you check with manual tuning settings, slight OC/UV/etc? Do you have Moment 4 features enabled with this update (e.g., new Explorer, Taskbar tweaks) ? As I have this update installed and M4 features enabled, but settings are still reset, no change on my setup. If you disable M4 tweaks via ViveTool, it gets back to normal.

i haven’t changed anything , nor i have did any oc/uv , except rage mode enabled.

neither changed anything in windows except the latest update (plus the optional ones like the KB5031905 (framework update) if that helps.

Few days ago I got an update for windows 11 beta, so I was sure it would arrive soon for the live.

Okay just tried my luck, and the update appeared as an optional update. So far so good, My issue was also fixed! Please peeps upvote OP’s post, so others can update and fix their issue too!

For those that said it was AMD’s side issue… here you go… :V

Yes, I recently noticed that my tuning settings were no longer being reset with every restart.

This post gave me hope as I just today reinstalled Windows 11(clean) to make sure my installation/drivers was good as I was previously running a Nvidia GPU and moved on the 7900XTX.
But I just checked and I already got the KB5031455 update installed and Adrenalin is still resetting with every reboot, even if just disabling the Zero fan mode and nothing else.

For me it’s still getting reset on startup even after the update. 23.10.2 and a 6650 XT. My 6650 has had some weird issues with latest drivers, like crashing when the display goes to sleep, so not really surprised.

doesn’t fix it for me, tried 23.10.1/2 and latest Alan Wake drivers (just now). When M4 features are on, manual tuning get’s reset. Back to ViveTool blocking… Maybe if it really fixes this for some users, MS is pushing a silent workaround switch for this issue (but doubt that as it’s usually gets documented in the known issues or other KBs) …

Did you try to turn off fast startup in windows settings? I turned it off like 2 weeks ago and had zero issues from then
