Is it worth partitioning M.2 drive with 1TB storage?

I’m buying a new computer, on the old one 8 years ago I had the HDD divided into two partitions, one for system/programs/music (etc.), the other for games. It helped me with organising and such.

Is it worth doing so in this case? Should I just add a folder for games on the disk where the system is located (and if everything is put on one disk (games, system, movies), will it run as fast as it should and won’t it slow it all down?)

I also have 2.5 SSD (also 1 TB) drive, but it’s probably not important now, and I don’t intend to do partition it or anything.

Lastly I’ve heard partitioning is not worth it anymore so I’m really confused right now

It can make backups simpler if you have limited time or storage space on the target drive, otherwise can’t think of much of a reason to these days.
